Summer Spotlight

Dr. Andy Broadsword is one of our fantastic endodontists here at Endodontic Associates. Recently, Nancy, one of his patients said, “My root canal was the best dental experience I’ve ever had!” Dr. Broadsword’s patients and staff both appreciate his great communication, attention to detail, and personable nature.

Outside of the office, Dr. Broadsword enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. They love playing in the water, whether it is at the lake, the river, in the sprinklers, at the pool or even having water balloon fights in the yard. They also love to visit the beach, Sunriver, and look forward to exploring the Redwoods soon.

Dr. Broadsword has always enjoyed cooking and grilling. During the pandemic, he and his family started making their own sourdough bread. He recently started reading the book, “The Elements of Pizza” by Ken Forkish to progress his pizza game. With summer coming, he and his girls look forward to having barbecues on the grill.

Staff Spotlight

Our doctors and staff here at Endodontic Associates have many fabulous talents and hobbies. One of Dr. Nielsen’s hobbies is mountaineering. He has summited Mt. Hood many times. He most recently completed this amazing feat in April with his son, Zack. It was almost perfect weather for climbing that day. They climbed from Timberline Lodge at 6,000 feet and headed toward the summit at 11,200 feet. The climb they took was up the south side, east of crater rock. They climbed to the hogsback saddle between crater rock and the main summit. This was a good place to take a quick break for a photo before their final push to the peak. Dr. Nielsen and Zack next headed to a steeper section through the narrow chute known as “the pearly gates.” As the chute opened up, it was only a short way to the summit, the highest point in Oregon. Congratulations to Dr. Nielsen and Zack for completing this impressive adventure.
