🌟 Employee Spotlight: Rhonda 🌟

For more than 30 years, Rhonda has been so much more than a dental assistant—she has been a familiar face, a comforting hand and a true friend to generations of patients.

She’s the one who has held your hand through procedures since you were a child. She’s the one who greets you by name, hums along to the songs while Dr. Nipper works and sends you out the door with a hug. She has a special way of treating every patient like family.

Rhonda’s experience and ability to anticipate Dr. Nipper’s needs make even the most complex appointments feel calm and seamless. Her kindness, skill and genuine love for people are an incredible asset to our practice.
There truly is no one else like Rhonda, and we feel so privileged that she is ours. 💙

Today, our dental office family is cheering extra hard for one of our own. 💛

Our sweet Morgan is having cochlear implant surgery today, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her hearing journey. After nearly 11 years of hearing loss in her left ear and the recent, unexpected decline in her right ear, today is a big day — one filled with nerves, hope, and so many prayers.

If you know Morgan, you know how much she pours into the people around her. She brings so much compassion, laughter, and heart to our office and to every patient she cares for. We are so incredibly proud of her for walking through something that has been scary and uncertain with so much faith and courage.

Morgan, we want you to know that you are surrounded by people who love you, believe in you, and are praying over you every step of the way. We’ll be thinking of you and counting down until we get to celebrate the sounds with you!! 💛

🦷 Healthy gums shouldn’t bleed.
This September, we’re focusing on gum health and the warning signs that are easy to overlook:
🩸 Bleeding when brushing or flossing
😣 Tender, swollen, or sensitive gums
📉 Gum recession or teeth appearing longer
😮‍💨 Persistent bad breath that doesn’t improve
🦷 Changes around your teeth or gumline

These symptoms may be early signs of inflammation or gum disease—not simply a reason to stop flossing.
If you’ve noticed any of these changes, let us take a look.

✨Please join us in welcoming Dr. Josh Gurnee to Buchanan Family Dentistry! ✨

Originally from Arkansas City, Kansas, Dr. Josh earned his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UMKC School of Dentistry.🦷

Dr. Josh enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is committed to helping every patient feel comfortable, heard, and confident in their care. He looks forward to building lasting relationships and creating personalized treatment plans for individuals and families in our community.

Outside the office, Josh enjoys golfing, traveling, cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners, and spending time with his wife, Holli, and their children, Presley and Brooks—with another little boy on the way!
