As a service to all patients, Dr. Plumlee uses an innovative device with each patient to help detect any early signs. Oral cancer is often highly curable if diagnosed and treated early, but it can go unnoticed in the initial stages. A Velscope is particularly helpful in screening our patients for signs or symptoms, providing dentists and hygienists with a simple examination system to detect abnormal tissue. The device emits a safe blue light into the oral cavity, which excites the tissue and causes it to fluoresce. Healthy tissue typically appears bright green, while suspicious regions appear dark. We strive to provide this exam at no additional charge to you once a year. Our dental office provides numerous services you need or want to improve your teeth and gum health or the appearance of your smile. Dr. Plumlee has partnered with Care Credit to offer dental financing plans to all of our patients. Contact our office for more information about financing. We moved into our new office in downtown Plymouth in the fall of 2000. The office was designed to use the most modern technology available. With computers and television monitors in every room, we can do intraoral camera exams and cosmetic imaging for all of our patients.
