Several members of our team recently had the opportunity to attend the 66th Annual Eastern District North Carolina Public Health Association Conference in beautiful Atlantic Beach. This year's theme, "From State to Community: The Ripple Effect in Public Health," highlighted the impact that public health professionals make every day.
We are especially proud of Finance Officer Andrea Freeman, who served on a panel discussing the Utilization of State Funds, and Clerical/Billing Supervisor Seleni Woodley, who participated in a panel on County Billing and Revenue Maximization.
We would also like to congratulate Health Education Supervisor Miranda Keel, who was installed as Vice President of the Association for the 2026–2027 term.
In addition to presenting and serving in leadership roles, staff attended educational sessions and networking opportunities that will help strengthen the services we provide to our community. We are proud to have such dedicated professionals representing our department!
