Her FIRST model and she placed that eye pad like she’s been doing this. 👏 Proud as hell is an understatement.

Let’s talk about why this matters.

Eye pads look like such a small part of the service until you’re brand new and suddenly thinking:

Are the bottom lashes fully covered?
Is the pad too close or too far from the waterline?
Is my client comfortable?
Will anything shift?
Do I need to adjust this before I even start lashing?

This is the stuff beginners don’t think about until they’re in the moment. That’s exactly why we practice it.

Yes, I’m teaching you how to place lashes. I’m also teaching you how to slow down, check your setup, protect your client, and notice the details.

You don’t have to show up knowing what to do.
You’re supposed to show up ready to learn, ask questions, and be coached through the parts that feel awkward at first. 💯

Your first model should not be the moment you realize your lash class did not prepare you.

Let’s be real. A lot of people can show you how to place a classic lash or memorize a cat eye lash map.

What about when an actual person is laying in front of you?

That is when the nerves hit and your hands shake. That is when you start second guessing everything.

And that is EXACTLY when your educator should be right there. 👩‍🏫 Watching your isolation. Checking your placement. Helping you slow down. Correcting the tiny habits that turn into big problems later…. Teaching you how to think through the set instead of just rushing to finish it!

I’m not interested in sending students out with a certificate and zero confidence behind the bed.
That’s not education. That’s expensive confusion. 💯

That awkward pickup angle you keep fighting? A small turn of your lash tile might help.

When you’re learning to pick up lashes, it’s easy to keep changing how you hold your tweezers because something feels awkward.

Try rotating your tile slightly. This changes how the lash strip lines up with your tweezer tips, so you may be able to approach it without twisting your wrist or repositioning your hand every time.

Make a small adjustment, then try a few pickups. Can you see the lash clearly? Does your wrist feel relaxed? Can you repeat the movement comfortably?

Your grip, tweezer shape and pickup technique matter, so everyone’s setup won’t look exactly the same. Give yourself room to adjust while you learn.

Every set I create has AT LEAST 5 different lengths. And those little inner corners are part of my plan.

Five or more lengths is my personal standard. Those details make a big difference in the finished look.

Tiny inner corners, 5 or more lengths, 100% coverage…. That’s what makes a set feel complete to me.
