The World Health Organization confirmed in 1991...35 years ago, silver fillings are the number one source of mercury exposure in humans.

Here’s what blows my mind. When that filling falls out of your mouth it becomes hazardous waste. Legally the filling needs to be put in special containers and labeled as disposable.

What doesn’t make sense is that it’s okay to have it in your teeth, but as soon as it’s taken out of your teeth, it’s considered hazardous. This has never made sense to me.

The FDA quietly updated their guidance. Not recommended for pregnant women, kids, or people with kidney issues.
