Have you ever stopped to wonder what you just had in your mouth for two minutes?

Here’s why Boka is one of our favorite toothpastes we recommend here at THE ēSSENTIAL DENTIST here in Pleasant Grove. It’s built on nano-hydroxyapatite, the exact mineral that already makes up about 97% of your enamel. So instead of coating your teeth in fluoride, it rebuilds them with what they’re actually made of. Your enamel gets stronger.

This toothpaste has No fluoride, No SLS, parabens, or artificial dyes. It’s biocompatible and non-toxic, so you’re not panicking when your little one swallows a bit.

That’s the whole heart of holistic dentistry. What goes in your mouth every single day should be good for your whole body.

Curious what else we’d swap out of your bathroom cabinet? Come see us. We’ll give you something to smile about. 🦷

We fill our office with essential oils. Dental anxiety/fear is one of the biggest reasons why people don’t go to the dentist. We understand it’s a real thing and so we made a dentist office to help reduce anxiety and fear. Most people notice the difference in their mood when they walk through our door.

The feedback we get back is the same again and again: “This doesn’t feel like a dental office.” “It doesn’t even smell like one.” This is how we think dental care ought to feel. Come see for yourself, and let us change what you expect from the dentist. 🌿

Ready for a kids’ toothpaste that actually rebuilds little teeth instead of just coating them? Boka Kids leads with hydroxyapatite, the exact mineral your child’s enamel is already made of. It fills in soft spots and calms sensitivity before a tiny cavity can start. And since it’s the same stuff teeth are built from, it’s fluoride-free and totally safe to swallow.

Then there’s xylitol, which starves the bacteria that rot little teeth, so you get fewer cavities and less plaque between visits. Kids love the taste too, so bedtime brushing stops being a wrestling match.

Ask us about Boca Kids at your child’s next visit, and we’ll set your little one up with a smile built to last. 🦷

What happens BEFORE a dental implant is placed?

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at what goes into getting the operatory ready. 👀

Before our patient ever sits in the chair, we’ve already planned their implant using 3D CBCT imaging, prepared their custom surgical guide, selected the implant and components, and carefully set up our surgical environment.

Want straighter teeth without a mouth full of metal? Or maybe you have always wanted a smile you can feel confident about.

Clear aligners are the easy way there, and the process is simpler than most people expect. It starts with a quick digital scan of your teeth, no goopy molds required. From there our AI software maps out your entire treatment, so you can see your finished, straight smile before you ever wear a single tray. Once your custom aligners come back from the lab, we hand them over with one simple plan: switch to the next set every two weeks and let your teeth move right into place.

That’s really all there is to it. Clear aligners are practically invisible, so nobody has to know you’re straightening your teeth but you. You wear them, you swap them, and you can be confident with a smile you’re proud of.

Ready to see your straight teeth before you commit to a single tray? Come in for a free consultation and scan and we’ll show you exactly where your smile is headed!

Most dentists rinse with tap water. Every cleaning, rinse, and procedure at THE ēSSENTIAL DENTIST runs on ozone-treated water, which kills bacteria on contact and lets us skip a lot of the harsh chemicals a standard dentist office reaches for. Think about this, your mouth is basically an open wound while we’re working in it. What we flush it with matters.

The bigger difference is how we see the whole body. A typical dentist fixes the tooth in front of them and sends you home. We treat your mouth as part of the rest of you, because inflammation and the materials sitting in your teeth don’t politely stay put. That’s what biological or holistic dentistry means at our practice. If your gums have been a problem for years, or you’ve walked out of a dental office feeling unheard, come see how different this feels. 🌿

Ever wonder what’s actually hiding inside your jaw?

This patient came in with no idea what was causing their discomfort. One Cone Beam CBCT scan later… we found a sialolith,a hardened stone formed inside a salivary gland. 🦷⚡

Most offices never catch these because a regular 2D X-ray can miss them completely. That’s the power of seeing your mouth, jaw, and face in full 3D.

This is exactly why we look at the whole picture, not just your teeth. Your mouth is connected to everything. 🌿
