🦷 Wisdom Wednesday!

Ever wonder why your teeth sometimes feel a little sensitive after eating something acidic? 🍋🥤

Acidic foods and drinks can temporarily soften tooth enamel. That’s why it’s best to wait about 30 minutes before brushing after having something acidic. Brushing right away can be harder on that softened enamel.

In the meantime, rinse with water and give your teeth a little time to recover! 💧😁

Does a tooth hurt when you bite down? 🤔

Pain or tenderness when chewing can be a sign of several things — a cracked tooth, a loose or damaged filling, decay, or even an infection.

Even if the tooth feels fine the rest of the time, pain when biting is worth having checked. Catching a problem early can often mean a simpler fix! 🪥✨

If something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait for it to get worse. Your teeth are pretty good at letting you know when they need a little attention! 😁
