Dear Treasured Patients,

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my beloved husband, the cherished Dr. Craig Etts. Dr. Etts. viewed his patients as more than just individuals he cared for; you were his extended family. He approached every day and every appointment with an unwavering commitment to not only improve your health but also to brighten your lives with kindness, warmth, and genuine care.

In keeping with Dr. Etts’ lifelong commitment to his patients and understanding that he would want nothing more than for you to continue receiving the best care possible, we have put in place a thoughtful transition plan and are currently able to meet your dental needs. His long-time dedicated staff will be there during the transition and beyond to ensure that you receive the best possible care. It is important to us that you feel supported and reassured during this time of change.

Though we mourn the loss of a remarkable doctor, friend, and husband, his incredible staff and I are united in our commitment to honor Dr. Etts’ memory by upholding the values he lived by. Thank you for being a part of the family that Dr. Etts so dearly loved. Together, we will navigate this transition with grace, always remembering the incredible person Dr. Etts was and the lasting impact he made on all our lives.

With deepest sympathy and dedication to your care,

Marjorie Etts

Over time, toothbrush bristles become frayed, which makes them less effective at cleaning your teeth and increases your cavity risk. To ensure your brush is up to s***f, make a habit of updating it every three to four months.
Do you use an electronic version? Mark your calendar or set a timer on your phone to replace its head every three to four months, as well.

Did you know there’s been a significant spike in stress-induced oral health issues over the last few years? A study by the ADA Health Policy Institute found that 71% of dentists have reported seeing an increase in patients experiencing tooth grinding and clenching, 63% say they’ve seen an increase in chipped and cracked teeth, and 62% report a spike in temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD).
If you’re noticing new oral health symptoms or experiencing any discomfort, let us know right away. We’re always here to help!

February is Receding Gums Awareness Month, and this common oral health issue is a serious one. So serious that, if left untreated, it can cause tooth loss and increase your chances of tooth decay and infection.
The American Academy of Periodontology says that almost half of all adults over 30 have some form of gum recession. And while you may not think you’re part of that group, you may be experiencing subtle symptoms without realizing it.
Rest assured that we assess the health of your gums during every visit and should we spot signs that look concerning, we’ll let you know and develop a treatment plan to help.
Have questions about receding gums? Let us know!

Imagine you took your vehicle in for a 20-point checkup but only 13 points were examined. Would you feel confident that it would be completely safe and reliable to drive for the next 6 months or longer? Probably not.
Now consider that when you don’t floss, you miss cleaning 35% of each tooth, which totals approximately 11 whole teeth! See what we’re getting at? 😊
If you haven’t already made flossing daily a priority, start today! And if you haven’t scheduled your next hygiene appointment, now’s the time!
