le they receive highest quality dental care. My personal philosophy about dental care is: Your Mouth is the Gateway to Your Body and Your Health. We live by this philosophy every day. Many patients don’t make the connection between oral health and their overall health. However, there is a powerful correlation between tooth decay and periodontal (gum) disease linked with other health problems, such as cardiovascular disease, stroke and bacterial pneumonia. Likewise, pregnant women with periodontitis may be at increased risk of delivering preterm and/or low-birth-weight infants. We not only want to treat the problems but also to prevent larger problems. Our practice is strongly built on educating the patient about the link between oral health and general health; together we can prevent and improve patient’s overall health.
