• Fillings may come loose and fall out for a variety of reasons ranging from new decay, chewing too hard, eating crunchy foods or excessive grinding. If a filling falls out, don’t panic. Most of the time it is not a dental emergency, however, if you experience pain and sensitivity around the tooth it’s important not to ignore it. Call us to be seen so the tooth can be examined and treated as necessary. If you wait too long and the tooth is left unprotected a crown may be required.
