Dear Valued Patients:
I am writing today to give you some important information about your future orthodontic care. After much thought and deliberation, I have decided to pursue my personal goals by selling my orthodontic practice with a view toward retirement. I have had the honor to have practiced orthodontics for 30 years, with 23 of the years being here in Plano as the first female orthodontist. I have enjoyed the relationships I have developed with my patients and their families and I wanted to make sure that they would be in good hands. This led me to a search for the right doctor to assume my practice. It was very important to me to carry on my practice philosophy and maintain the environment that I have worked so hard to create. I had a lot of interest in the practice, but I was very excited when I found another female orthodontist who had the same passion for orthodontics that I did.
I would like to introduce you to Dr. Tamara Jones DDS, MSD. Her practice is called Willow Bend Orthodontics in Plano, a very short distance away at 5400 W. Plano Parkway, the same street as my office. She grew up in Carrollton, attended SMU for her undergraduate studies, and went on to complete her DDS degree at Baylor College of Dentistry. She chose to specialize in Orthodontics at the University of Texas at Houston. Dr. Jones earned numerous honors and awards during her academic years, the most notable of which is that she is Board Certified in Orthodontics. She is married to her husband of 8 years, Jason, an army veteran. They have 2 children, Madeline and Kenton, and an Airedale Terrier “Franklin”. In her spare time, Dr.Jones loves to cycle and train for her next charity triathlon.
Dr. Jones will be taking over my practice effective Monday July 2nd, 2018. I will be seeing all my patients in her office together with Dr. Jones for the next few months to smooth the transition. This will give you and her the opportunity to know each other, and she can familiarize herself with your progress and treatment plan .
