Always trying to better support our patients, Dr. Mara had the amazing opportunity to spend the last five (very full!) days with some of the brightest dental minds in the country, at the Pankey Institute. Studying at an intensive course on Tempromandibular Joint Disorders (TMD) and Orofacial pain, she brings back with her a wealth of knowledge and treatment options for our patients battling head and neck pain. Instructors included some of the top orofacial pain specialists in North America, physical therapists, renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and dentists from across the country—a truly inspiring group! So, if you, or a loved one, has been suffering, call us to see if Dr. Mara can help you on your journey to recovery.

This past Friday, the Atlas Dental family came together to celebrate the holiday season with our annual gift exchange and dinner at the Capital Grille. As we continue to grow, we feel fortunate to have a team as exceptional as this one. Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year from all of us at Atlas Dental Specialists!

Extra fun delivery day: This week’s transformation was particularly challenging—missing #7 (lateral) and an extremely oversized #8 (central tooth—with no radiographic signs of fusion or gemination). The patient had been afraid to smile his whole life, and hated his oversized middle tooth, the gaps, and the incisal edge discrepancies (dark triangles)… Our CEREC transformation moved this tough guy to tears, and he says he has now gained the confidence to smile! This is why we love what we do 😊
