November is TMJ Awareness Month. The temporomandibular joint works as a hinge between your jaw and the rest of your skull. Unfortunately, disorders can lead to pain in your jaw joint and surrounding muscles. If you have felt any pain in your jaw, have difficulty chewing, or even locking of the joint, let us know as it could be a TMJ disorder! Our office can help be the ones to diagnose what could be going on if something seems off. Let us be a second set of eyes so we can keep you healthier than ever.

Are you remembering to brush your teeth after eating sweets this holiday season? Waiting 30 minutes after eating before brushing is a good rule of thumb to make sure you aren't damaging the enamel on your teeth. Don't have a way to brush your teeth soon after eating sweets? Try drinking more water. This will help remove bacteria and increase your saliva production so the sugar doesn't get stuck as easily to your teeth!
