Job description
Front Desk Representative

Join the Front Desk Team at Steele Dental and contribute to providing exceptional patient care in our dental office. We want that "right person" to grow with our team, enjoy their time at work, and make a difference in the lives of our patients. We love our patients and we want someone that will be AWESOME on the phone and provide the BEST customer care to each and every one of them!

If you are a dedicated team player, self-motivated, and want to help provide the best care and services to our community, we would love to hear from you and set up a time to meet you and have you visit our office. Duties:

- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using dental software systems such as Dentrix, Dexis, DTX Studio
- Verify patient and insurance information
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns
- Coordinate and schedule follow-up appointments for patients
- Collect patient balances and bill insurance for treatment
- Discuss treatment and treatment plans with patients as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix, Dexis, DTX Studio preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical administrative support tasks, including medical scheduling, is a plus
- Familiarity with basic office equipment, such as computers, multi-line phones, printers, scanners, and fax machines

Casey’s general store is a staple of southern Illinois! More like a foundation piece…please read and let us know what you think!

According to Newsweek, a 2018 study from Harvard Business School determined having a Starbucks in a community can increase property values by half of a percent. This has been labeled by some as "The Starbucks Effect." While we enjoy our caffeine and Starbucks treats, we would like a consider a different perspective:

"The Casey's Effect"

Our theory is simple: Living in the general vicinity of a Casey's will provide more value to dental providers. The question is, "how do we define value?"

1. Small towns lead to closer relationships. The kids in your class are also your closest friends, teammates in sports, and partners through all things adolescence. They almost certainly become lifelong friends.

2. A common values system. Generally speaking, small town America shares a more traditional values system influenced by faith, love of country, respect, and compassion. As parents, we find great value in this.

3. Community Impact. People in small towns are scrappy. They are resilient. When pushed, they can make a little go a long while. As a dentist, the impact you can make to the local little league, 4H program, theater department, etc. is amplified by the resourcefulness of those in the community.

4. Income potential. Income is based on the value you bring to those around you. Simply put, there aren't as many dentists in small towns. The people in these areas still need quality healthcare. On the surface, a city would seem to provide better opportunity; however, the word-of-mouth marketing in small towns will amplify the reach of a good provider. A strong community presence and the lack of providers will result in a packed schedule every day. While insurance and pricing still play a role in choosing a provider, the majority of people will come to your office to see YOU. You were the person that helped their mom, sponsored their kid's little league, treated their best friend well. Isn't that why we all came into this profession?

The Starbucks Effect may increase your property value; but, The Casey's Effect is about improving your life.
