✨ Before & After a Frenectomy! ✨

Take a look at the arrows in the before photo! They point to the frenum, which is a small band of tissue that connects the lip to the gums.

In some cases, a thick or tight frenum can contribute to spacing, or a gap, between the front teeth or create tension in the surrounding tissue. A frenectomy is a procedure that releases this tissue to help give the area more freedom and support healthy development as the teeth continue to grow.

This brave 7-year-old patient did amazing, and we love seeing her results!

Of course, we had to ask her what she thought about the process afterward, and her response was:

“It wasn’t bad at all!” 😊

We'd say that's a pretty great review!

Today we're celebrating our favorite newly-minted 21-year-old... GRETCHEN! 🥳🎂✨

She keeps us laughing, makes patients feel at home, and somehow makes every day a little more entertaining. We're pretty sure turning 21 just made her even more unstoppable.

Here's to a year full of new adventures, great memories, and plenty of reasons to celebrate!

✨ Sometimes the smallest change can make the biggest difference. ✨

This patient had always felt self-conscious that her front teeth weren’t even, but she had no idea there was such a simple, conservative option to improve them!

Using composite bonding/filling material, we were able to reshape and even out her front teeth in a minimally invasive way--no major treatment needed. The result is subtle, natural, and helped create the smile she had wanted for years

So many people live with things they assume “just are what they are”… but dentistry has more options than most people realize! If there’s something about your smile that’s bothered you for years, ask us about it--you might be surprised at what’s possible!

Today we’re celebrating Gretchen and her first year with the White Oak Dental team!

Over the past year, Gretchen has brought so much positivity to our office through her bubbly personality, caring attitude, and amazing connection with patients. As an assistant, she does such a great job helping patients feel comfortable and cared for while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

You may also catch her helping at the front desk from time to time, always with a smile and ready to help however she can!

Her youthful energy and positive attitude make our office an even better place to be, and we are so thankful to have her on our team.
