Establishing a positive relationship with our office will make a lifelong impact on your child. The AAPD recommends that a child's first dental visit occur when the first tooth erupts, or no later than their first birthday. This "well-baby" tooth checkup helps prevent early decay, establishes a dental home, and provides parents with guidance on cleaning, diet, and habits. Your child's teeth are at risk for decay as soon as they erupt. The earlier the dental visit, the better the chance of preventing dental problems.
