A knee-to-knee exam is used for children under the age of 3. During this appointment, the patient sits on their caregiver's lap, and their head is placed in the lap of Dr. Struve. Dr. Struve counts the child's teeth, cleans them with a toothbrush, and makes sure the child is reaching their developmental milestones. This is a great way to introduce them to a dentist at a young age!
