Today I got my flu shot and I highly recommend you to do the same.

As COVID-19 pandemic continues, more and more cases are registered every single day. Hospitals don’t have the capacity to accommodate COVID-19 and flu patients at the same time. Getting your flu shot will not only save your life from a potential deadly flu, it will also save people in your community who might get COVID-19 and require medical attention. By getting your flu shot this year, you will be indirectly contributing to ending this pandemic. You don’t want your healthcare system to collapse because that will make controlling COVID-19 even more complicated, which mean multiple waves and more lockdowns. Nope, this is not fearmongering. This is the truth and the Spanish flu pandemic attests to that. Back then people felt safe only to be struck by a deadly second wave. Let's NOT make that happen! We can defeat this virus.

If you’re still not sure about getting your flu shot, please consult your doctor and learn more about how they work. It’s normal to fear what we don’t understand, and learning more about flu shots will help us conquer our fear. Also, rely on authentic sources of information before drawing any conclusions. It’s easy to be misled by “self-proclaimed doctors” who don’t even have a license to practice medicine.
