At Arroyo Haven Dentistry, we’re proud to offer advanced laser technology to support healthier smiles with greater comfort and precision.

✨ Laser Therapy at Arroyo Haven Dentistry ✨

Our dental lasers allow us to treat gum disease in a minimally invasive way — targeting harmful bacteria while preserving healthy tissue.

⭐️Laser Bacterial Reduction (LBR)
Laser Bacterial Reduction is an advanced procedure that significantly reduces harmful bacteria in the mouth, promoting healthier gums, fresher breath, and improved overall oral health.

During LBR, a gentle dental laser is passed around the gum pockets and periodontal areas. The laser energy targets and destroys disease-causing bacteria while leaving healthy tissue largely unaffected. The procedure is quick, precise, and very comfortable.

✨ Benefits of LBR
• Significantly reduces bacterial load beneath the gums
• Targets harmful bacteria at the source
• Helps prevent cross-contamination from infected to healthy areas
• Reduces gum inflammation
• Minimally invasive

⭐️Laser-Assisted Periodontal Therapy (LAPT)
LAPT uses precise laser technology to remove infected tissue and harmful bacteria from periodontal pockets while preserving healthy gum structure. The laser also stimulates natural healing and supports tissue reattachment.

✨ Benefits of LAPT
• Cauterizes tissue as it works
• Promotes blood clotting with less bleeding
• Speeds up healing and tissue regeneration
• Less post-operative discomfort

Modern dentistry. Gentle care. Healthier gums.

Flossing daily is essential for removing plaque and food debris from areas your toothbrush can’t reach — especially between teeth and just below the gumline.

The C-Shape Method is the most effective way to floss while protecting your gums.

Here’s how to do it correctly:

1️⃣ Start with enough floss
Use about 18 inches. Wrap most around one middle finger and the rest around the opposite middle finger to collect used floss as you go.

2️⃣ Gently guide between teeth
Hold the floss taut between your thumbs and index fingers. Slide it carefully between teeth using a gentle back-and-forth motion.
⚠️ Avoid snapping the floss into the gums.

3️⃣ Form a “C” shape
When the floss reaches the gumline, curve it around one tooth to create a C shape so it hugs the tooth surface.

4️⃣ Clean below the gumline
Gently glide the floss up and down along the tooth surface, going slightly beneath the gumline. This is where plaque buildup — and gum disease — often begins.

5️⃣ Repeat on the adjacent tooth
Before removing the floss, wrap it around the neighboring tooth and repeat the same motion.

6️⃣ Use a clean section each time
Unwind fresh floss as you move from tooth to tooth.

✔️ How often should you floss?
At least once daily to support healthy gums and long-term oral health.

On this first day in our new office in South Pasadena, we have to pause and recognize Dr. Abe and his incredible team in Pasadena.

We’re so thankful for how they welcomed us into their office and generously shared their space with us over the past year as we searched and built our new dental home after the fires in Altadena.

This chapter of our journey is one we’ll never forget. We truly appreciate Dr. Abe and his team for their support, kindness, and collaboration along the way 🤍
