Yes, really. 💚 But here are a few important flags to point out:

1. Cheese neutralizes acid temporarily, and is beneficial to your oral health. BUT it does nothing to remove plaque or food debris. It is not a cleaning mechanism in any sense
2. The effect lasts maybe 20–30 minutes. After that, your mouth returns to its normal environment
3. It works best as a between-meal bridge: after lunch at work when brushing isn't practical, for example. It was never meant to compete with brushing
4. Processed cheese (think Kraft singles, spray cheese) won't produce the same effect. It needs to be real cheese with actual casein protein. Cheddar, Swiss, Gouda, Parmesan are the ones with evidence behind them
