A special message for our patients and families:
We wanted to inform you that we are doing our part in the prevention of spreading the COVID-19 Virus. We are thorough in our Infection Control that we practice at Koup Family Dental. We will be taking extra precautions in our common areas as well; the waiting room, front desk areas, patient bathrooms and child area- removing all magazines, books, newspapers and toys that cannot be wiped down for the next few weeks -and sanitizing door handles, frequently touched desk areas/surfaces, and chair armrests throughout the day.
With the recent news and public impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) our team wanted to share some of the protocols we have in place to protect your health and wellness at your dental visit:
-We will be taking your temperature before providing care.
Sterilization and Pathogen Control:
-Our dental practice always maintains the highest cleanliness standards and sterilization protocols using OSHA-approved disinfectants and/or the barrier method to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
-We use medical-grade disinfectants and cleaners shown to eliminate bacteria and viruses.
-All instruments are sterilized using OSHA-approved methods between each patient.
Many of our instruments and supplies are designed for single use. Once used, they are immediately disposed of safely.
Sterilization equipment is maintained daily, tested weekly and certified regularly per federal guidelines.
-Common areas like reception desks, restrooms, and consultation areas are all regularly cleaned and sterilized to prevent disease spread outside of the treatment room.
We have safety protocols in place in the event that any of our patients or dental team are exposed to coronavirus.
-Please contact us right away if any of the following conditions apply: You have a cough, fever, shortness of breath, or flu-like symptoms or have traveled to Iran, China, South Korea or Italy in the last month or if you have had contact with anyone who has been exposed to the coronavirus.
-We are happy to reschedule appointments for patients who feel unwell or suspect they may have COVID-19.
-It will be business as usual for the Koup Family Dental team while following the above precautions. We have no immediate plans to close the office but will evaluate and follow federal agency guidelines should such a measure become mandated. We appreciate you and please stay well!
