She couldn’t tolerate dental treatment at her previous office.

Despite multiple attempts under nitrous oxide (“happy air” or “laughing gas”) by another dentist, there was still too much discomfort for her to get the care she needed.

The thing is — she’s a sweet, cooperative kid. She just needed a little more support. 🤍

That’s where oral conscious sedation (moderate sedation) comes in.

For kids with dental anxiety or difficulty tolerating treatment, this can be a game changer.

After drinking some “juice” customized for her, she was relaxed, comfortable, and able to complete her dental treatment with ease about 30 minutes later.

And based on everything she said at the end…safe to say she felt good about it all. 😊

For some children, sedation dentistry at Sunrise Pediatric Dentistry in Palo Alto can be a great option to complete dental treatment safely and comfortably — without the need to go under general anesthesia. 🙌🏽

Who says kids can’t prank their pediatric dentist? 😝

Dr. Sheila was onto him the second he walked in for his dental checkup…�A chip canister at a dental visit? 🤨

Yeah… definitely a little sus 👀

We love that he feels comfortable enough to bring his mischievous, trickster self into our practice 🫶

Because dental visits don’t have to be serious —�they can be fun, easy, and lighthearted…and it’s certainly never a dull moment around here 😄
