As soon as you walk through the doors at Cunningham Dental you will immediately experience the difference. We are no ordinary dental office. Our office is designed specifically for your care and comfort. As you enter you will be greeted with a warm inviting waiting lounge. For you and your families pleasure there is a complementary beverage center stocked with a wide variety of coffees and cold be

verages. While your family waits for your treatment to be completed we have provided an internet bar with iPads for browsing the internet or playing games. After you check in, don’t expect to get too comfortable in our lounge. At Cunningham Dental we pride ourselves in bringing you back at your scheduled appointment time. Dr. Cunningham will discuss YOUR primary areas of concern as well as your goals. While receiving treatment your comfort is of utmost importance. To help us ensure your comfortable we have installed TV’s in the ceiling. In addition we offer headphones to block out any unpleasant noises. For those who are anxious, please ask us about our conscious sedation techniques to provide an amazing level of comfort. Our office is specifically designed to shield you from all that is negatively associated with a dental office such as discomfort, unpleasant noises, sights, and smells. Your comfort and care is our number one priority. So do all of these amenities come with a higher cost? We participate in a large variety of insurances for your convenience. For those who do not have insurance we offer a discount savers plan and convenient in house payment options as well as care credit. We believe that preventative care is the best care. To validate that belief we try to make our preventative appointments (cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatment, sealants, exams) as affordable as possible for you and your family. We understand that your time is valuable. With that in mind we strive to perform all your dental treatment in our office without the need for referrals. Why do teeth crack?

Grinding or clenching, large fillings, chewing ice, and everyday wear can all contribute to cracks in teeth.

The tricky part? Cracks can be VERY unpredictable.

One of the biggest warning signs is a sharp, electric pain when you bite down—even if it only happens occasionally. Don’t ignore it!

Catching a cracked tooth early can make a big difference. Waiting too long could mean the difference between saving the tooth with a crown and losing the tooth altogether.

If something doesn’t feel right when you bite, let your dentist know. Your tooth may be trying to tell you something!

🎓🦷 We’re sending Ian off to college!

Dr. C’s nephew, Ian, has spent the past year working with us while finishing up high school, and yesterday was officially his last day at Cunningham Dental!

He’s headed off to college with plans to follow in his uncle’s footsteps and become a dentist. 👨‍⚕️🦷

We’ve loved having him as part of the team, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead.

Hopefully in about 8 years, we’ll be welcoming him back… this time as Dr. C #2, or Dr. Ethan (inside joke)! 😄

Did you know...

How often you consume sugar can matter even more than how much you have at one time.

Every sugary bite or sip fuels cavity-causing bacteria and begins another acid attack. After you stop, your saliva needs time—often about 30 minutes—to return your mouth toward its normal pH. Sip a sugary drink for an hour, and you repeatedly restart that process.

The takeaway: Enjoy sugary treats occasionally, preferably with a meal. Then stop, rinse with water, or chew sugar free gum, and give your teeth time to recover.

It’s the constant sipping and snacking that causes the most trouble.

🎉 **Exciting News! Please Welcome Dr. Kaylee Kitchen!** 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that **Dr. Kaylee Kitchen** is joining our dental practice!

A Paducah native, Dr. Kitchen graduated from McCracken County High School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Murray State University. She then received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.

Dr. Kitchen’s addition marks an exciting new chapter for our practice. She will help us expand appointment availability—including future Friday hours—and offer additional procedures and services to better care for our patients.
