Sunscreen for your skin… and your smile? ☀️🦷

For National Sunscreen Day, here’s your reminder that sun safety and oral health go hand in hand! Your lips are especially vulnerable to UV exposure, so using a broad-spectrum lip balm with SPF 30 or higher can help protect against sun damage and lip/oral cancers. 💋

Sunshine also helps your body make vitamin D, which supports calcium absorption for strong teeth and healthy gums. Just remember to protect your lips, stay hydrated, and keep up with your routine dental visits. 💧

Our Rowland Family Dentistry family is deeply saddened by the passing of our former team member, Chip Daly.

Chip served as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant and was such a wonderful part of our team. He wore many hats in our office, brought so much energy into the room, and had a lively, fun spirit that made him unforgettable to those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

We are sending our love, prayers, and deepest condolences to Chip’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. He will always be remembered with great appreciation and a smile. 🤍

Brushing your teeth might feel simple… but doing it the right way makes all the difference! 🦷✨

Proper brushing isn’t just about how often, it’s about technique. Brushing twice a day for at least two minutes, making sure to reach every surface of your teeth and along the gumline where plaque loves to hide.

A few key tips to keep in mind 👇
• Hold your toothbrush at a 45° angle toward your gums
• Use gentle, circular motions, not harsh scrubbing
• Don’t forget your tongue (it holds bacteria too!)
• Take your time, most people don’t brush long enough

And remember… brushing too hard can actually do more harm than good. Gentle and consistent wins every time. 💛
