It is with heavy hearts that we share that our office manager Raquel passed away this morning, June 24th, 2026 at the age of 52. Raquel was a beloved part of the Clarke County Dental team for 31 years, beginning with Dr. John Meyer just a week after getting married. She loved her job, loved her coworkers, and most of all, loved her patients. She treated every patient like they were family and welcomed everyone with open arms.

Raquel was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, and her family was truly the joy of her life. She will be missed by so many, especially her Clarke County Dental family. While our hearts are grieving, we find peace in knowing that she has entered the gates of heaven.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date, and we will share more information as details are finalized. We appreciate all of the love and support that our community has shown. Please continue to pray for Raquel's family during this difficult time. 💙

Yesterday evening, our Office Manager, Raquel, suffered a brain aneurysm and was flown to Iowa City, where she is currently undergoing brain surgery. Please keep Raquel and her family in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
