He came in looking for a better smile. We started with Invisalign first.
His lower front teeth had crowded over the years, and his upper front teeth were chipped and uneven. Crowding is often a space problem, and a narrow arch leaves less room for the teeth and for the tongue.
As Invisalign straightens teeth, it can also gently widen the arch. That gives the tongue more room to rest up against the palate where it belongs, which supports a more open airway.
Once his teeth were in position, we bonded his upper front four teeth. Because they were already straight, the bonding could stay thin and go only where it was needed.
That is what conservative dentistry looks like to us: look at the whole picture, do the minimum that gets the best long term result, and keep as much of your natural tooth as possible.
At a consult, we look at your bite, airway, gums, and wear patterns, talk through your goals, and map out the order that makes sense for you.
