Your dental benefits reset January 1. Anything you haven't used by then is gone — it doesn't roll over, and you don't get it back.

Most people remember this in December, which is precisely why December is impossible to book. September is the easy month to get in.

If you're a new patient, here's where to start:

🦷 $99 — complete checkup + X-rays
🚨 $69 — emergency exam + X-ray
😁 20% off clear braces with a UCF student or faculty ID

We take most PPO plans. No insurance? We have third-party financing with no credit check and in-house plans that work out to a lot less than people expect.

Okay, honest question — and we actually want the answer. 👇

What's the real reason you haven't booked a dental visit?

A. "I'm nervous about the chair."
B. "I can't afford it right now."
C. "I can never find the time."
D. "Nothing hurts, so why bother?"

Drop your letter in the comments. No lectures, we promise — we've heard all four of these this week alone, and every one of them is fair.

Here's what we'd say to each:

A → We explain every step before we start and stop the moment you raise your hand. Ask any of our patients.
B → Third-party financing with no credit check, in-house plans if you're uninsured, and $99 gets a new patient a complete checkup with X-rays.
C → We're open Monday–Friday, 9–5, and we run on time. Your appointment starts when we said it would.
D → This is the sneaky one. The problems that end up costing the most are almost always the ones that don't hurt yet.

"How long will it actually last?"

It's the first question almost everyone asks about whitening, and the honest answer is: 6 months to 3 years. ✨

That's a big range — and where you land in it comes down to what you do in the weeks after, not the treatment itself.

Four habits that stretch results:
☕ Rinse with water after coffee, tea, or red w**e
🥤 Use a straw for anything dark
🦷 Keep cleanings on a 6-month schedule
✨ Touch up every 6–12 months

Worth knowing: professional whitening lifts several shades in one or two supervised sessions. Most drugstore kits manage one or two shades and fade in weeks. Different tool for a different job.

Here's what our team actually does, every visit: we explain each step before we start it. We stop the second you raise your hand. We check in more often than you probably expect. None of that is complicated — it just has to be the standard, not the exception.

Bleeding gums are not normal. We'll say it louder for the folks in the back. 🦷

September is National Gum Care Month, so here's the thing we wish every patient knew: healthy gums don't bleed. Not when you brush, not when you floss, not "just a little."

Three early warning signs:

1️⃣ Pink in the sink when you brush or floss
2️⃣ Bad breath that won't go away
3️⃣ Teeth that look longer than they used to

The good news? At this stage it's completely reversible. A professional cleaning plus a few small habit changes and you're back on track. Wait too long and it becomes periodontitis — and that one doesn't reverse.
