Brett Bolton , a hip disarticulation amputee, has been a POA patient for 17 of his 20 years. Brett was always an active kid, participating in sports such as gymnastics and all things fast! He was introduced to sled hockey while in middle school and it became a passion. He took the sport to its highest level, participating in the 2026 winter Paralympics on gold medal winning ! Although playing sled hockey is challenging, Brett says his biggest challenge was when he recently climbed Mount Sherman in Colorado. Between the steep climb, rocky terrain and strong winds, Brett really had to fight to stay upright and keep going —but he made it to the top! 💪🏼 🦿
