By Thursday it was throbbing. By Saturday the whole side of their face was swollen and they were in an urgent care — which, by the way, can prescribe antibiotics but cannot fix a tooth.

We're not here to guilt anyone — life gets busy, especially in Utah County with kids, jobs, and everything else. But here's what we see clinically when people come back after a gap:
📌 Tartar buildup has usually progressed below the gumline, meaning the cleaning takes longer and can feel more sensitive
📌 Early gum disease (gingivitis) has often set in — gums bleed during cleaning because the tissue is inflamed from bacterial buildup
📌 Small cavities that could have been caught early now need fillings or more involved treatment
