Today we celebrated the life of our dear friend, Colleen. 💛

From day one, she helped build TFO into the practice and family it is today, dedicating more than 15 years of service, friendship, laughter, and love to our team and patients.

To know Colleen was to love her. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, important, and valued. Her kindness, loyalty, and genuine heart left a lasting mark on all of us.

While Colleen retired several years ago, she has always remained a cherished part of the TFO family.

As we look back through these memories, we are reminded of the countless smiles and laughs she brought to our office and the friendships she created along the way. TFO would not be the same without the years she poured into it, and her influence will continue to be felt for years to come!

We love you, Colleen. Thank you for being such an important part of our story. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 💛

You may have heard us talk about “Phase 1” and “Phase 2” orthodontic treatment… but what’s the difference? 🤔🦷

✨ Phase 1 Treatment:
Usually starts around ages 7–10 and focuses on guiding jaw growth, correcting harmful habits, creating space for incoming teeth, and fixing bigger bite issues early. Not every child needs Phase 1 treatment — only certain orthodontic problems benefit from early intervention.

✨ Phase 2 Treatment:
This is the full braces or aligner phase that happens once most or all adult teeth are in. The goal is creating a healthy bite and beautiful smile that lasts long-term.

💡 So why not just do Phase 2 for everyone?
Because some problems are easier (and sometimes only possible) to correct while kids are still growing. But for many kids, the best treatment is simply monitoring growth until the timing is right.
