If you use Dentrix as your practice management system, and are experiencing issues opening the chart due to their "smart image" that isnt being too smart, today would be a great day to look more closely at the problem free program OpenDental.

Current hold time at Dentrix is 3+ hours for support. We are diligently working through the issues.

There is a Microsoft update that has been release (KB5001330) which in short, breaks connections between workstations and server which affects your dental software and imaging software. The fix is easy, uninstall the update and reboot. We have helped dozens of clients this morning correct the issue.

If you are a managed client of ours, the update has been blocked and will not affect your systems. If you are not a managed client, call us to find out about this program, it helps avoid issues like this that interrupt your practice.

Recently, we have noticed a price jump (doubled) in graphics cards. This article explains the reasoning for the price increase. This price increase has also affected other components in computers.

Nvidia and AMD’s high-end graphics cards were already expensive in 2020 (if you could find them), but their prices are only going up. And we’re finally starting to see just how dramatic these price hikes are going to be.
