In his previous two videos, Dr. Gellis walked through the thought process behind this case and why the final result required more than simply making the teeth whiter. ✨

The goal was to create a wider, more balanced smile by addressing the existing crown, uneven tooth proportions, recession and the darker spaces around the smile. Through a combination of 12 porcelain veneers and crowns, Dr. Gellis was able to improve symmetry, reshape the teeth and create a result that feels natural to her face. 🦷

This longtime patient had large fillings with cavities on her front 4 teeth. A tooth can only handle so much filling until it needs the strength of a porcelain restoration. At the time, I recommended restoring with 4 crowns and veneers. At the time, she had a lot of anterior crowding and misalignment, so I recommended doing Invisalign to restore more conservatively.

Fast forward 6 months later at a hygiene visit, she told me she was halfway done with Invisalign with the orthodontist. Looking back, I should’ve taken her before pictures prior to Invisalign. Sometimes running between hygiene exams and restorative dentistry I have to remember to stop, breathe, and document more!

After Invisalign, I told her if we do the front 4 teeth we have to match her existing shade. Deep down, she wanted a reset on her smile. We restored her top 10 teeth with beautiful veneers and crowns. She’s already thinking about restoring the lower arch…this is the power of porcelain. Happy Friday!

After a failing root canal, this patient received a dental implant with a temporary crown placed the same day as her extraction and implant procedure.

Once the implant fully integrated, the temporary was replaced with a custom porcelain implant crown designed to blend naturally with her smile.

The result? A strong, seamless restoration that looks and feels right at home. 🤍
