Sincerity at Work: Take the Time. Take Ownership. Take Responsibility.
As the owner of Universal Smiles Dentistry, one principle I want every member of our team to carry with them is sincerity in everything we do.
Our patients trust us with much more than their teeth. They trust us with their time, their health, their comfort, and often their fears. That trust deserves our full attention.
Sincerity at work means taking the time to do a job correctly—not simply quickly. It means paying attention to the details, following through on our responsibilities, communicating honestly, and taking ownership rather than assuming someone else will handle it.
Whether we are answering a phone call, scheduling an appointment, preparing a treatment room, assisting a doctor, providing clinical care, explaining treatment, or following up with a patient, every responsibility matters.
I encourage our entire team to ask one simple question before considering a task complete:
“Did I give this the same time, care, and attention I would want if this were for me or someone I love?”
When sincerity becomes part of our work ethic, accountability becomes natural. Our teammates trust one another. Our patients feel genuinely cared for. And our organization becomes stronger.
