It might be challenging to compare various brands of oral health products that tout themselves as being "safe for kids." The key to preserving excellent oral health is choosing a toothbrush that is the right size and a type of children's toothpaste that is right for their age.

When your child is around the age of two, you should use fluoride-free "baby" toothpaste and brush their teeth twice a day. Fluoride toothpaste can be introduced gradually to your child between the middle and the end of the third year by using only a pea- to rice-sized amount on the toothbrush at a time.

We will be happy to discuss the best oral health products for your child at their next visit to our office.

Do you ever find yourself wondering when your little one will start getting teeth? We get this question a lot when meeting new parents. We understand that this can be both a frightening and exciting time for both the baby and the parent.
The first tooth usually appears around 6 months, but every child is different. Some may start teething as early as 3 months, while others may not get their first tooth until they are a year old.
If you're worried about your child's teeth coming in, don't fret! We at Caring Kids Dental are here to walk you through each step of the process.
