Meet Dr. Hulse — the powerhouse behind Hulse Dental, now transitioned to Case Dental! 🦷
Dr. Hulse was raised right here in Onalaska, where he graduated from high school. From a young age, he knew he wanted to become a dentist after watching his father practice dentistry for 49 years.

He attended Luther College in Iowa for his undergraduate studies before heading to the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 1990.

But he wasn’t finished yet! Dr. Hulse proudly served in the U.S. Navy, completing a General Practice Residency and a naval tour until 1992. Once his time in the Navy wrapped up, he headed back to the Coulee Region to launch his own practice, Hulse Dental.

Then, in 1998, he opened our current Hulse Dental office right here in Onalaska—and we’ve been practicing out of this very same location ever since!

There is so much to be proud of when it comes to Hulse Dental and everything Dr. Hulse built over the years. It truly is an incredible legacy, and we are honored to continue it as Case Dental.

I recently asked Dr. Hulse why he has no plans of retiring just yet, and his response was perfect:
“How lucky am I to be able to continue doing what I love and what I worked so hard to build, and now I get to watch Dr. Case do the same thing. It is so cool, and I never want to give that up!”

That statement really sums up who Dr. Hulse is — both as a person and as a dentist. We are incredibly grateful for the legacy he has built and excited to continue that story together. 💙🦷

Get to know the owner and dentist behind Case Dental, Dr. Zachary Case! 🦷

Dr. Case grew up in the small town of Harmony, MN. After high school, he crossed the river to attend the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where he studied biology and chemistry. During his time at UWL, he quickly grew to love the Coulee Region and knew he wanted to make it home.

From there, Dr. Case headed to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, to pursue his dental education. After earning his DDS in 2021, he returned to the Coulee Region and joined Dr. Hulse at Hulse Dental. Five years later, he has stepped into the leadership and ownership of the practice, now known as Case Dental.

Throughout his time in practice, Dr. Case has loved helping patients feel more confident in their oral health and building lasting relationships with the people he cares for. As both a dentist and practice owner, he continues to grow professionally and personally, and we’re excited to see what the future holds!

Outside of the office, Dr. Case enjoys traveling, watching sports, collecting cards, and is an advid foodie 🙂
