Is it just snoring or is it obstructive sleep apnea?
The only way to know for sure is to have a home sleep test. Patients can rent a home sleep test device through our office or through their medical care provider. Sleep with peace of mind and get better sleep by treating the root cause of your airway disorder.
Sleep apnea occurs when throat muscles relax and close off the airway or when your brain fails to signal your breathing. The pauses in breathing means your body is not getting the oxygen it needs and puts unnecessary stress on your heart and body. It can include loud or frequent snoring, silent pauses in breathing, and choking or gasping sounds. If you’re snoring and not feeling rested in the mornings, it’s time to make your sleep health a priority and improve your quality of life.
