Convey good feelings about dental visits as being part of growing up. Use positive words with your child like "gentle" and "fun," rather than "won't hurt" or "not scary" because the words hurt and scary are likely all they will hear.

🍂 🎃 Fall is such a great time to get into a FUN brushing routine! With school back in full swing and treat season upon us, it opens up a great opportunity to create a brushing plan for you family!

👻 A few not so SpOoKy tricks and tips for FUN brushing!

🕸 🧛‍♂️ Read a fun book about spiders or Halloween characters and pretend you need to brush away the cobwebs and monsters out of your child's "haunted" mouth.
🎵💀 Play 2 minutes of a Halloween song to brush to: Monster Mash, Ghostbusters, Thriller, The Addams Family, and Spooky, Scary Skeletons are all fun tunes.
🍬🍫 Talk to your child about holiday treats explaining it is A-OK to have fun and enjoy treats in moderation and as long as we brush and floss after.

☑️ Pick out a fun, soft-bristled toothbrush and brush 2x a day
☑️ Use an antibacterial mouthwash once a day-ahh so fresh!
☑️ Floss daily-flossing removes plaque and food particles under your gumline that your toothbrush can't reach
☑️ Try to limit sugary snacks and drinks
☑️ Schedule regular dental exams and cleanings
