✨🦷 DID YOU KNOW?

The word "dentist" did not even exist in the English language until the 1750s. 👀
And before that? Your local barber was also your best bet for getting a tooth pulled. Yes. Really. 😂
Barbers were actually responsible for performing a large portion of dental work before dentistry became its own recognized profession. And that iconic red and white barber pole you still see today? That is not just a fun design choice. The red symbolized blood and the white symbolized teeth. A little on the nose in hindsight but we appreciate the honesty. 😂🦷
Now here is where we want you to really sit with this for a moment. The next time you are in our chair surrounded by our luxury amenities, sipping a beverage, wearing your 24K gold eye mask, wrapped in a plush blanket, with music curated specifically to your vibe; we want you to remember that the alternative used to be a barber with a pair of pliers. 😂✨

✨🖤 BEFORE & AFTER | DENTAL BRIDGES 🖤✨
Every smile has a story. And this one is one of our absolute favorites to tell. 💗
This beautiful patient was born congenitally missing her upper lateral incisors — meaning those two teeth simply never developed. After completing orthodontic treatment to create the perfect space for her new teeth, she came to us and Dr. Summer placed two bridges to fill those gaps and complete her smile in the most stunning way possible. 🌸
And the result? Absolutely breathtaking. ✨
We want to take a moment to talk about something important though, because this case is such a beautiful example of it. When it comes to replacing missing teeth, dental implants are widely considered the gold standard. They are our first choice whenever possible because of how closely they replicate the look, feel, and function of a natural tooth. 💗
But implants are not always an option for every patient. Bone loss, jaw development, medical history, and a variety of other factors can mean that a different path is not just preferable but necessary. And that is okay.
