This is Thomas Pitts starting his smile journey in Pitts brackets… and before you ask, no, he’s not related. 😂 Just a wild coincidence that we happen to have a patient with the same name as Dr. Thomas Pitts, the orthodontist who developed the bracket system we use!

Even crazier? Earlier this month, we had the chance to meet the OG Dr. Thomas Pitts at the AAO conference in Orlando. Safe to say this bonding day felt pretty iconic. 🦷✨

Orthodontic treatment is about more than just straight teeth. Sometimes, the finishing touches can make a big difference in creating a balanced, confident smile.

For this patient, gingival contouring helped refine the gum line to improve symmetry and reveal more of the natural tooth structure, enhancing the final result after braces.

Patients with a “gummy” smile, uneven gum lines, or teeth that appear short due to excess gum tissue may be great candidates for gingival contouring. The procedure is quick, performed right here in our office, and can make a meaningful difference in the overall appearance of a smile.
