August is National Breastfeeding Month, and Small to Tall Pediatric Dentistry has proudly supported families on their breastfeeding journeys for many years. For more than a decade, our practice has provided tongue-tie and lip-tie revision services to help infants achieve optimal oral function and support families seeking a successful breastfeeding experience.
Breastfeeding offers numerous benefits for both babies and mothers, including bonding, nourishment, immune support, and healthy growth and development. Establishing effective oral motor function early in life can also play an important role in an infant’s ability to feed successfully.
Our very own Dr. Benjamin Ruder was the first pediatric dentist in the South Sound region to implement laser-assisted tongue-tie and lip-tie revisions, bringing an additional option to families experiencing breastfeeding and oral-function challenges.
After caring for thousands of infants and their families, Small to Tall Pediatric Dentistry has become a trusted resource for pediatricians, lactation consultants, pediatric therapists, and the families they serve. We are proud to support the important work of breastfeeding professionals and to promote awareness of the many ways families can be supported throughout their breastfeeding journey.
At Small to Tall, we’re proud to recognize National Breastfeeding Month in August—and to support healthy beginnings all year long!
