Navigating all the guidelines for your little one’s smile can feel overwhelming, but keeping their teeth protected doesn’t have to be confusing!
Here’s a quick guide on fluoride toothpaste dosing by age—straight from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommendations: 
💧 Under 3 Years: A tiny “smear” or the size of a single grain of rice.
🫛 Ages 3 to 6: A pea-sized dollop.
🪥 Ages 6+: A normal ribbon along the brush head. 
Pro Tip: Remember to encourage your little ones to spit out excess toothpaste rather than swallowing, but no need to rinse immediately with water—letting the toothpaste linger helps those tiny teeth absorb maximum enamel protection!

Dr. Sarah, Teddy, and Dolly had a blast as guest speakers for the awesome students at the Oklahoma State Pre-Dental Club. 🦷🎓🧡
They capped off an evening of all things dentistry, mentorship, and OSU pride with a must-have stop at the iconic Hideaway Pizza! 🍕It was Dolly’s first trip to America’s Friendliest College Town!
