Dental emergency or something that can wait?
It’s not always easy to tell, but knowing the difference can make a big impact on your oral health.
Severe tooth pain, swelling, bleeding that won’t stop, a knocked-out or loose tooth, or signs of infection (like fever or pus) are all urgent and should be treated as soon as possible. Waiting in these situations can lead to more serious complications.
On the other hand, mild sensitivity, small chips, lost fillings, or minor discomfort may not require immediate care, but they shouldn’t be ignored for too long either. Addressing them early can prevent bigger issues down the road.
When in doubt, don’t try to guess or tough it out. A quick call can give you clarity and peace of mind, and help you get the right care at the right time.
Your smile is worth it.
