LAPIP - Laser-Assisted Peri-Implant Procedure
LAPIP is used to treat peri-implantitis, which is inflammation around an implant. LAPIP differs from LANAP because of the fact that LAPIP is for implants. LAPIP is a minimally invasive procedure with minimal discomfort where the treatment area is targeted. Because of the targeted treatment, the laser is able to remove infected tissue while leaving the healthy tissue intact, leaving it to regenerate. LAPIP stops the disease around the implant and could even regenerate new bone.
