Reed Orthodontics looks forward to seeing you!

Even though we have been closed for 6 weeks, we have never stopped working. We used this opportunity to get better. We are confident we will be able to safely provide the same exceptional level of service and care we are known for.

Rest assured: In addition to maintaining stringent guidelines for infection control, we are adding the following:

Parking lot check in
Call or text from the parking lot. We will call you when it is time to go straight to the treatment chair. Please wait in your vehicle, our waiting area is closed for now.

Wellness screening
If you or your family have been ill, please allow us to reschedule you prior to coming in to the office.

Social distancing
Ideally only patients enter the office. Patients can have one parent or guardian with them.

Planned appointment spacing
Staggered appointment start times to minimize the volume of people in the office at a time.

Accommodation
We want you to be comfortable. If there is anything we can do to achieve that, let us know.

On Friday Governor Desantis ordered that all dental offices postpone elective procedures until May 8. Care provided by my office is limited to emergency management care until then. As always we will remain open and there will be staff available Monday through Thursday from 9am-3pm to answer phones and schedule/reschedule appointments. Our staff will be reaching out to anyone with an appointment between now and May 8 to review treatment and reschedule appointments. If you have any problems or concerns please call the office so that we can help you.

Dear parents, patients and friends;

As news of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has caused concern worldwide, it also has at Reed Orthodontics. Your loyalty and trust is earned and we want to reassure you that we do not take this lightly. We consider your health and safety a top priority. We have always followed the CDC and OSHA guidelines for sterilization of instruments and disinfection of surfaces throughout our practice and will continue to do so. As of now, we will provide our services as normal with the following considerations:

We are encouraging our employees to stay home if they are not feeling well or have been possibly exposed to someone who is ill. We are also asking our patients to do the same and please call to reschedule your appointment if you or your child have any flu or cold-like symptoms (i.e. fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath) or have traveled out of the country within the past 30 days. If you do not feel comfortable coming to the office, we are more than happy to reschedule your appointment to a later time.

We ask that you limit the number of family members coming into the office. We will eliminate the check in sheet and will have our front office team manually check you in.

Please feel free upon arrival to use any sink to wash your hands. The coffee bar and magazines will be out of commission for the time being to limit contact on shared surfaces.

Please brush your teeth prior to your appointment as the brushing station will be closed. We will limit procedures (glue removal and bracket repositioning) which involve use of a handpiece in an effort to minimize aerosol particles.

We will wipe down counters, keyboards, office areas and high touch surfaces continuously throughout the day.

As an office, we want to do our part in containing the recent outbreak of COVID-19. Please contact the office if you have any concerns.

Last week, Dr. Reed visited with the first graders at Eighth Street Elementary for National Children's Dental Health Month. He read the book Clarabella's Teeth to the classes, discussed brushing and flossing, and answered many great questions.
