Sesselmann D.D.S. was born and raised in Muskegon, growing up in the Beachwood area. After graduation from Muskegon Catholic Central in 1974, he attended Michigan Technological University on a wrestling scholarship. H
e received his B.S. in chemistry from MTU in 1978 and then attended the University of Detroit Dental School earning his DDS degree in 1982. Upon graduation from U of D, Dr. Eric went into practice with his father, Dr. Ernest J. Sesselmann who began practicing dentistry in Muskegon after graduating from Loyola Dental School in 1960. Dr. Eric became a solo practitioner when Dr. Ernie retired in 1989. Dr. Eric recently welcomed Dr. Eric V Sesselmann Jr. into his dental practice, officially starting the 3rd generation of Sesselmann Dentists! Dr. Eric Sr. and his wife of over 38 years Jill have 4 children. Besides Eric Jr., they have 3 daughters (all engineers), 3 sons-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law, and 4 beautiful grandchildren. Dr. Eric can frequently be found doing his lawn mowing at his office or home but he also enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, racquetball, and biking but most of all he enjoys spending time with his family especially the grandchildren. Eric V. Sesselmann Jr. graduated class of 2009 from Muskegon Catholic Central and went on to complete his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at Grand Valley State University in 2013. He earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from Midwestern University in Chicago in 2017. He went on to complete a one-year residency at Jersey City Medical Center, where he studied advanced surgical techniques. Dr. Eric Jr and his wife, Brooke, moved back to West Michigan in July 2018.
