Wishing all of our patients and their families a healthy and happy holiday season. We held our annual staff gingerbread competition this past week. Staff was given 30 minutes and the use of one additional item to make their festive gingerbread houses. Please vote below on which house deserves to win. Happy holidays!!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved, Dr. Edward John Stepka Jr., who passed away surrounded by the love of his family on May 24th, 2025.

Dr Ed was a devoted dentist who began serving his community with compassion and dedication in 1973, following his graduation from the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry. He continued practicing alongside his son, Dr Greg, until retiring in 2018. Dr Ed was a Past President of the Woonsocket District Dental Society and also served as a Trustee for the Rhode Island Dental Association. Ed’s professional achievements were complemented by his kind heart and gentle demeanor.

Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Stepka was a mentor, a leader, and a friend to many. His warm smile, kind heart, and tireless work ethic left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will continue to live on in the lives he touched and in the practice he so lovingly built.

Our entire team mourns this loss and extends our deepest condolences to Dr. Stepka’s family, friends, and all who loved him. May he rest in peace.

I’ve never been big into politics, however there is very important legislation that my colleagues and I from the Rhode Island Dental Association have been working on for OUR Rhode Island patients. We NEED your help.

Healthcare in RI is in crisis mode, and dental care is in desperate need for some help. The dental insurance companies have been manipulating the system way too long!!

Patient Premiums NEED to go to Patient care. This legislation will require the insurance companies to spend at least 85% of patient premiums on YOU!!

Fair Share for Dental Care

The Rhode Island Dental Association and Dr Stepka are hosting a fundraiser for Joseph Shekarchi on Tuesday November 28th.

Our association is working with legislators to get dental insurance companies to spend at least 83% of patient premiums on patient care.
