For those of you trying to combat a dry mouth, Xylimelts, shown above, are a good option.

The main ingredient, xylitol, stimulates saliva production as well as helping to raise pH levels in the mouth to more neutral levels.

Unfortunately there are many products marketed for dry mouth that are themselves acidic which can be harmful to the teeth. We would recommend Xylimelts specifically because they have been measured to have a safe, neutral pH, and are fairly easy to find.

Yesterday was International Tea Day - and while tea may have many benefits, there’s a drawback: staining!

Tea is one of the most common causes of tough stain on teeth that we see, along with the others shown in the graphic, as well as smoking!!

Remember to drink/swish with water when drinking tea, or better yet, keep a toothbrush handy!!

(Well, around the moon) Fun fact, all astronauts need to clear a strict dental exam, which has 3 clearance levels - however, only those in the “top” tier, meaning those with no active decay, periodontal disease, or defective restorations, are considered for actual space travel.
Kids, keep those teeth clean with good brushing, flossing, and regular checkups!

Still, even those of you not considering any space travel should take notes from our space crew too 😁
