We are so excited to welcome Dr. Veronica Xia to Sparacino Periodontics & Implant Surgery!

Dr. Xia is a periodontist and implant specialist who brings a thoughtful, patient centered approach to periodontal and implant care. She believes that great treatment starts with taking the time to listen, answer questions, and make sure each patient understands their options and feels comfortable with their care.

Whether she is treating gum recession or bone loss, or helping a patient through the dental implant process, Dr. Xia is committed to providing evidence based care with an emphasis on comfort, precision, and long term results.

Dr. Xia earned her B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Augusta University before attending the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).

She completed her specialty training in Periodontics at the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, earning both a Specialty Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry.

Originally from Atlanta, Dr. Xia always dreamed of living near the water, so Charleston felt like the perfect place to call home.

Outside of the office, she enjoys exploring Charleston’s restaurants, staying active with high-energy spin workouts, taking on creative crafting projects, and spending time with her partner, David, and their two cats, Sammie and Toby.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Xia joining the Sparacino Periodontics & Implant Surgery team and look forward to introducing her to our patients and community!

A few simple habits can make a big difference in keeping your gums healthy!

Brush twice a day with a soft bristled toothbrush.

-Floss or clean between your teeth daily.

-Pay attention to bleeding or swollen gums.

-Keep up with your regular dental cleanings and periodontal visits.

And don’t ignore changes in your gums! Early treatment can help protect your smile for years to come.
