Meet Dr. Novak !
At the young age of 7, Dr. Novak visited a dentist in her native Russia. She was restrained by the dentist, who proceeded to extract one of her teeth without warning or anesthesia. The agonizing pain stuck with Dr. Novak and created a long-term fear of the dentist. Although traumatic, this experience inspired Dr. Novak to follow her dental career path.

She reasoned that she could use her past trauma to prevent similar negative events from happening to others. She used a vision of the perfect dental experience to help her create her unique method of care, and she set out to provide dental care with compassion.

As she became the kind of dentist her 7-year-old self would have preferred, she gained many loyal patients who appreciated her way of putting them at ease, making them laugh, using a sensitive touch to minimize discomfort, and offering calming words.
Dr. Novak received degrees in dental medicine from both Moscow Dental School and Tufts University in Boston, after which she taught restorative dentistry for three years. She established her first private practice in 1996 in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

Dr. Novak has seen many advances in the dental field since she decided to practice dentistry, so she understands the importance of continuing education. In fact, she regularly earns more than three times the state-required continuing education credits in order to keep her skills on the cutting edge. She frequently participates in classes and seminars from the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies and the Misch Implant Institute. Dr. Novak is proud to be a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, the International Academy of Comprehensive Dentistry, the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics and the International Congress of Oral Implantology.

Dr. Pinkas is honored to be a graduate of the Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University. Dentist Dr. Marina Pinkas recently completed continuing education at the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL to study advances in occlusal disease. Marina Pinkas, DMD also experienced and learned the skills of comprehensive dental evaluation. For the patient, this co-discovery process provides ample opportunity to express concerns and objectives while learning about his or her own dental health condition in a meaningful way. The highest standard of care consists of customized treatment, appropriate to the individual patient’s circumstance.
