Dear valued patients:
At Nixa Family Dental Center, our number one goal has always been to protect the health of our patients, our team and our community. As a daily practice, we already assure universal precautions of infection control as outlined by the CDC and OSHA. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking extended measures to further protect our patients and our team with additional protocols. Effective May 4, 2020, in accordance with the recommendations set by the CDC, OSHA, ADA, and our local governing counties, we will begin scheduling appointments on a limited basis.
In compliance with the recommendations, anyone with a cough or fever will not be allowed in the building and should stay home. We will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date. For those of you with already scheduled appointments beginning May 4, our office will be contacting you prior to your appointment date/ time to determine whether the appointment will proceed. Upon contact, we will be utilizing a series of questions, and based upon your answers to the questions and consideration of your level of comfort/ concern, along with answering any questions you may have, we will either proceed with confirmation of your appointment date/ time, or we will gladly reschedule to a later date/ time. If you have not received a call from our office at least 24 hours prior to an already scheduled appointment, or if you do not have an appointment, but you do have new dental concerns, please call us at 417-725-8283. We will work toward getting everyone scheduled based on priority.
Upon arrival at the office on your confirmed appointment date/ time, we ask that you remain in your vehicle and check in by phone. When your operatory/ room is ready, a team member will come to your vehicle to greet you. Your temperature will be recorded, and a COVID-19 release form for treatment will be provided for written acknowledgement. We will then proceed to guide you through the necessary steps to complete your dental visit. At this time, only the patient is allowed into the building for treatment, unless personal assistance is required. Children under the age of 14 may be accompanied by one guardian, if necessary, but we would prefer only the child in the room with the guardian/parent remaining in the reception area. This will enable us to stay within our recommended guidelines and minimize additional risk.
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed "business as usual", and we thank you in advance for your patience as we work to accommodate everyone in the near future. We look forward to caring for your dental needs. Stay safe.
